RoboCupSoccer Small Size League (SSL)

The RoboCup Small Size League is one of the oldest RoboCup Soccer leagues. It is focused on intelligent multi-agent coordination and control in a highly dynamic environment. Teams currently compete in 11 vs. 11 soccer matches (6 vs. 6 in division B) with an orange golf ball. The robots are built by the teams and have to conform to certain dimensions and constraints, as defined in the rules. All objects on the field are tracked by a central vision system – called SSL-Vision – which is maintained by the SSL community. Off-field computers for each team are used for the processing required for coordination and control of the robots. Communication is wireless and uses dedicated commercial radio transmitter/receiver units.

5. Registration Process

• All teams intend to participate in RCAP 2025 are required to complete the pre-registration before 31 July 2025.
• Qualified teams will be notified by 8 August 2025
• Qualified teams need to complete the registration fee payment and the final submission by 14 September 2025.

6. Pre-Registration

• Steps for pre-registration:
  • Download the pre-registration form RCAP2025-MAJOR-Pre-Registration.xlsx
  • Fill up the RCAP2025-MAJOR-Pre-Registration.xlsx.
  • Prepare the qualification materials.
  • Submit the above documents and complete the PRE-REGISTRATION before 31 July 2025.

7. Final Submission

• Steps for final submission:
  • Make a copy of the proof of payment
  • Prepare one team photo
  • Prepare qualification material not yet submitted during pre-registration
  • Submit the above documents and complete the FINAL-REGISTRATION (link to registration page) before 14 September 2025
• Kindly note:
  • Completing the final submission by 14 September will help you avoid the high registration fee.
  • Registration confirmation will be issued to all participating teams upon successful completion of the registration process.

8. RCAP Influencer Award

• The RCAP Influencer Award (Link to Influencer Award Document) will be presented to the teams whose presentation videos receive the highest evaluation in their respective category on the RCAP Academy Official YouTube channel.
